Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
Sheesh, this seems to happen every time I leave town - someone left the tap on and the house floods. In New York for a week, quick look at the stock price - aack! I feel like Bill the Cat. Aaaack!
I was feeling down for about 1/2 an hour, but then my sweetie reminded me that if we were paying $12,000 a night for a hotel room here, it would work out the same as not losing anything on Kodiak over the last week, and even though I would never in my life pay that kind of price for a room, well, I guess maybe I did. So boy, for sure I'm taking the towels home now! Her argument only makes a crazy kind of sensel, but I'm running with it and I feel better.
On the upside, I can at least say that it's impossible for the price to drop more than 34 cents. Sort of gives me a faintly warm feeling.
All kidding aside, I know mzsmith is right - nothing of substance has changed, the plan is a good one, can't wave a magic wand a make gold appear, and we have the luxury of all kinds of news yet to come. Some people decided to sell and drive the price down. The price is always at the margin, and doesn't prove much about the value of the bulk of the shares.
Yeah true, I'm agog at the notion that insiders aren't speaking with their wallets that there's value here. But my partner reminded me that in Broadway shows that producers never invest in their own show - it's a tradition. No, that's not really a good argument, but again, it makes me feel better, so I'll pretend, what the hey.
At these prices, not much point in selling, might as well wait to see what the news is. All the good arguments still apply. Could be too, the emotional transition for the whole set of shareholders from the idea of Kodiak as "Golden Mile plus some other stuff" to more of an overall package - not one central point but lots of points of potential.
So for me the tears are over, back to business. I'll see what the news is, the whole package - I won't even lose it if the first item isn't what I want. I wish everyone well. You know what happens when I go on a trip - Heck, maybe when I get back magically that will fix things too.
