Well, if you are done buying, who is going to support this stock tommorow??
HRattle, I gotta hand it to you, you are a real lightning rod! Got some dander raised. I must say, I understand your rationale and wish I had a bit more discipline in my PF, especially when it comes to selling. The best book on investing I ever read is by Bill O'neil, and he said that disciplined selling is one of the toughest parts (both taking profits and cutting losses short), I knew it and still blew it at times. Have ridden some stocks up to big gains and back down. KXL is one of them. I agree that if KXL is to soar again, a few people taking profits on the way up is not going to stall the train, in fact it will allow a few more on. One thing I try to remind myself is that there should be no "hold" category, tho that seems absurd. I think I would be better off if every day after supper I looked at my PF and asked my self if I would buy this today. If not, then sell it, or at least put a tight stop loss on.
Hey, while I'm rambling, I think we should have a little laugh at our collective misery about the KXL price. Let's start a "Top 10 reasons to buy KXL now!" a la Letterman.
#10: Guaranteed that you will not lose more than .34/share
#9: Buying 100 KXL shares for your wife's birthday will set you back less than a dozen long stemmed roses.
#8: 2 free nights at Hotel KXL with every purchase of 1000 shares.
#7: You have half of the "buy low, sell high" strategy aced at .34.
Somebody either pick up the ball or stop me.
