But there is another reason too ... after making a lousy investing decision, getting burned, and losing a lot of money, it's natural to think that things can't get any worse, that one good drill will turn things around, and that I've actually not lost anything until I've sold, so I may as well hold on for that turn around.

None of which are necessarily good reasons, I admit, but I think coming to this Board at this point in time is a little like hanging out in the local tavern with all the others who are losing and drowning our sorrows together, while trying to cheer each other up with glimmers of hope.
