All Juniors go through an evolution of sorts. Some (very few) go on to become producers, some are bought out, and some merge. The rest consolidate their shares and start over. The odds of discovering a new mine are about 10:000 to 1, so the odds are stacked against the company from the get-go.
Often, after consolidation, many companies change their name and reinvent themselves. Kodiak went through this process once before.
The writting is on the wall, time is running out, and the company is running out of moves. Kodiak was fortunate that, twice already, the market took interest in its properties - Caribou and Hercules. I recall that once Caribou fizzled, there was a lot of negativety and the company got through it. Admitedly, there were fewer online forums back then for people to vent and bash.
It's possible that Kodiak will find another project, or will pull an intriguing core on an existing project, that will generate a flurry of buying. We can say all we want about the company, wether it be good or bad, but there are 2 elements that drive the markets: fear and greed. If investors see an opportunity to make money (short term flip or long term hold) they will buy in regardless if many of us feel burned.
