TODAY'S DISCOVERY, TOMORROW'S FUTURE
Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.

Hey dinoo, thank you for that article. Now I know where I read about Golden Goose Resources! I went through a year's worth of old investment newsletters - nada. I KNEW I had come across the name. Now I know - I read it in the Sault Star last Spring.
I lived in Wawa a good number of years, and worked in White River, Dubreuilville, and some of the other small towns. I got to know one of the geologists from River Gold (now Wesdome). He always said there was LOTS of gold to keep mining the area for years to come.
I used to enjoy hiking through Gold City - walking distance from Wawa. It was the site of the original Wawa ... basically a number of gold camps. Not much left there now except old foundations. Kind of cool, if you're into that sort of thing. Of course, there is the original gold site with its headframe within sight of the town of Wawa. I believe it's still under care and maintenance - never officially closed.
When Algoma Ore closed its ore division in Wawa (AOD), it threw about 220 out of work. I remember how devastating that was for the town ... lived through it. Then came the closure of Domtar in White River, Dubreuil Forest Products in Dubreuilville, and the Strandboard Plant just outside of Hawk Junction. One blow after another.
At one point, I posted that I would LOVE to see the B-G area take off with Kodiak's projects - another area that could use some good jobs. But Wawa is much more personal to me, and much more needy. Even after having lost WAY too much money on this investment, it would bring a smile to my face and even make it worthwhile, to some extent, if Kodiak DID open a mine nearby and brought some life back to my old stomping grounds.
Sorry for the long stroll down memory lane - but it IS a long weekend, after all.
