Based on how I get it, gold has nowhere to go but up. However, in spite of the increasing gold price, gold shares are slow at taking off; is that because people doubt the gold bull or are they afraid of unrests and nationalization of gold mines, among other.

The world gold mining is about 80 million ounces annually, about 0.015 ounce per human; with a value of about 100 billion US$ per year. Compare to other stuff, that is peanuts.

The world reserves are in the order of 1.3 billion ounces, and the total past production must be in the range of 3-4 billion ounces; so we are talking roughly about 5 billion ounces of gold; in the ground and above ground. This means that each human approximately own on average one ounce of gold. So all the pillage, work etc of all humanity only has produced about one ounce of gold per head!

So if the growth of humanity links with the discovery of new gold ores, the magic one ounce per human will stay more of less fixed. So there you got it, one ounce for each of us; thats it and the Feds can`t make more; get your share while it still is around
