Portee, you misunderstood the vikings and their history;

When they came to New Foundland they wanted to be nice guys so they invited the locals for a party; they served lots of stuff including milk, something the locals never ever have had before; leading to extreme stomach pains and they tought the vikings wanted to poisen them, leading to fights etc.

Of course the vikings did not want to kill of the locals so they decided to leave peacefully, but not to Greenland as the stories tell. They were not stupid so they headed south and ended up in the Caribians and got immediately treated as kings and gods due to their size and faint skin colour. Of course, as peaceful vikings they played along with the locals and had a good time; and as smart learners they left the cows behind in New Foundland; to ensure no more hickups.

This is not BS, first read the book by Snorre Sturlason a Skald back in around 1200, and just talk with some of the elders in the Caribian, they will tell you stories about their blond ansestors.
