Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
Well, I took you up on your recommendation and read through it. I had been wondering what press releases we may see before the Magino deal closes and was looking for hints in the document about activity. It appears that results are probably due before year end for Milestone, Hercules and Kaby Lake but I found something else I don't recall seeing in any press release this year. On page C-7 it says:
" Sleeping Giant is Kodiak’s 100% controlled claims (10 claims 2,560 hectares) in the Beardmore-Geraldton Gold Camp. In 2007 one hole was drilled totaling 131 meters. Little follow-up work was done until mid-2010 with the commencement of an exploration drill program that is still ongoing. The program is designed to test a number of geophysical signatures "
To find out what information exists about Sleeping Giant is a bit of a challenge since the base metals area of the website was removed some time ago but there is a press release in early 2008 : .http://www.kodiakexp.com/_resources/2008_01_08_nr.pdf
The key sentence from that release:
Drill hole HR07-01 intersected a significant zone of nickel-copper sulphides: 27.1 metres grading 0.49% Ni and 0.24% Cu (50.2-77.3m), including 5.3 metres grading 1.51% Ni and 0.44% Cu (71.7-77.0m). These intercepts include encouraging precious metal mineralization of 0.5m grading 1.40 g/t Au, 0.85 g/t Pt and 0.17 g/t Pd (50.2-50.7m), and 1.2m grading 0.15 g/t Pt and 0.10 g/t Pd (71.7-72.9m).
So , are we back into base metals with PGE's as well? Copper is doing well and palladium is expected to be in short supply for 2011. Why do I feel this information should not have been included in the circular? Anyways, we may have something else to look forward to over the next month while we wait for Magino.
