Personally I agree with both of you ... Gold will go higher but it is over due for a correction ... a healthy one. Nothing ever goes straight up and keeps on going. for gold to continue it's bull parade it has to correct 10-20%. FWIW gold has recently boken out of its 2 1/2 year channel ... BUT ... RSI is overbought, MACD is at levels not seen in 3 years and stochs are starting to fall .... this does not bode well for a sustainable gold bull run in the short term ... whether it consolidates or corrects is anyones guess but my feeling is the recent sell off in stocks and jump in gold is overblown.

I won't copy and paste but from what I've been reading and gleaning....

- the US economy is not as bad off as everyone says. Sure GDP is down but GDP also includes government spending. If they are spending less GDP will go down. What is more telling is that private sector input is increasing ... albeit slowly but things are not as bad as the media makes it out to be

- Stocks will rally for the next few months

- gold will correct in the next few months.

- US markets may or may not tank in 2012 (hedge your bets?)

- oil and energy stocks will take off. While everyone is watching WTI prices it's really brent crude that is telling the world what oil is really worth ... in fact most oil sold in the world is more sour than even brent. right now the spread between brent and wti is over $20.

Until the global governments get over the fact that they can't afford everything in their social safety nets and begin cutting across the board we will remain in flux.

The nest several years will see slow economic growth across developed countries and the developing countries are definitely not dead.

PDG's drop and rise coincided almost directly with the fear factor south of the border. Right now things are looking pretty good esp with a new resources estimate and PEA due out in a month or so. I don;t think PDg will unleash it's true value until we see a feasibility study though, especially if current market conditions prevail.

GLTA ....

oh, and one last "out there" prediction ... Currency will be meaningless within the next 100 years. The only sad thing about that is that noone will be around to tell me I was right ;)
