Well while we're all pissing and moaning ... and the "secretary" told portee they were working on a news release ... which sounds more like a brush off than anything else. i bet she says that to all the septuagenarian shareholders just to get the ripple flowing.

Ok so maybe they are working ... on negotiations. Back in 1996, Barrick gold bought the Arequipa Gold deposit (peru) at an unprecendented $150 per ounce (pre 93-101) and after only a nominal number of drill holes. the price was high but the resource proved it self to be worthwhile as Barrick was able to more than double the number of ounces with further exploration.

We have 4 million ounces now with 2.5 million minable (as of December 2011). since then they have drilled and drilled and drilled with some nice grades and still have not found the boundaries of the deposit (as far as we know) in any direction.

Could it be that Magino is another arequipa? The bg Gold miners are looking for reserves and Ontario is a sweet spot. A big bulk minable deposit with underground resources would be a nice catch (if it's true).

So portee, perhaps according to Socrates, this one might apply to the 2nd and 3rd criteria as good and useful. Unfoitunately we'll have to wait for the big NR to know if it's true. At 5 million ounces and $150 per ounce we are at close to $3 a share ...
