It is of little or no consequence whether the CEO sits on the Board as Director. The CEO always takes part in Board meetings, drafts the agenda and provides background for decisions reached by the Board. Only rarely do the members reach decisions which contradict suggestions made by the CEO. So whether we like it or not, Maher runs this company.
