Gerdon, I have fullblood Simmentals for breeding. ( austrians call them also Fleckvieh, same herdbook ). We do not milk them in Canada, but let the calves get all the milk they can get. Animals which are not kept for breeding end up in feedlots for beef. Good bulls are in demand for crossbreeding.
