sorry for the long time between responses. summer is busy and my wonderful rural internet goes out at sundown (the tech team is investigating...). My Dad has always thought the farm should have a deisel generator for when the power goes out. It would be used on avg once a yr, but useful to get tractors started, get the waterworks running for the cattle and house, keep freezers going etc. I think a solar/wind generator makes more sense in that it will work 365 days a yr, reduce our hydro bill and provide some power during outages. Trouble is to get the big power that we'd like takes big $ and it isn't cost effective right now. It is on my "when KXL hits $50" list though.
Crops looking good, but weeds are also very healthy, causing bald spots on my head!
Cheers!
Ps, never see Gerdon on the board anymore... where is our Swiss friend?
