The truncated nose of yellow jackets make them poor feeders, don't think spring tension will make a difference. I have one of the high capacity clips (there's your answer on that one!) and it jams all the time so never use it. I too have a 10-22, I believe the day it arrived here 30 yrs ago is still referred to as "Black Monday" by the gophers in our pasture. Black Friday came 8 yrs later when the Ruger .22-250 with 6.5-20x scope arrived and the shooting bench was constructed. No corner of the pasture was safe for them after that!
