sorry about magnesium, the chinese killed off a couple of Canadian magnesium projects some 10 years ago. Basically with Noranda and others, Canadians in Quebec built a roughly 800 million $ plant that basically never was operated. It was developed from asbestous tailings. (town of asbestous I think)

The same chinese also forced down a huge and modern Norwegain own plant (in Quebec).

The Chinese use the old Pidgeon process(developed during the war in Canada) combined with cheap labour.
