The 600 VDC you refer to is probably too low for most of our high power torches. The 480 VAC could potentially be used to feed our power supply which would convert the AC to DC, and also control the current. For high power applications, we would probably need/prefer to use  a medium voltage connection such as 12.5 kV.

 

(Interestingly enough, depending on the application, some of our torches are made so they can in fact operate on compressed air)
