I've just learned from Q-Gold who are asking for a reverse split of 20-1 that, to quote their document,:.....We are reluctantly proposing this consolidation in response to a recently effected change in the TSX Venture Exchange regulations, whereby the Exchange has re-instituted a rule that common share offerings priced below $0.05 are now prohibited. Although the Company's recent trading volume has been noteworthy, there is no guarantee that Q-Gold can sustain a share price at a minimum of $0.05, which may effectively preclude Q-Gold from accessing Canadian public capital markets for its essential North American gold exploration operations, during a period of record gold prices.
(I guess I've got a lot of companies going to do a reverse split if the above statement is true.)
