You're correct with your analogy but as of late I think some outside investors looking in are getting nervous when they look at the sp but once they understand that the manipulation prior to the market correction was caused by investors trying to improve their positions ( smart investors... this time anyway..so far...) they'll jump in now so they can be part of the potential huge upside. Why wait for the months that the sp is pulling back? I agree high risk still but very high reward especially if you got in at .40 pennies. :)
