Burnhard83,

Here's a post from Jason at QEC ( VP Finance/Investor Relations). This will give you an idea of time needed for the process. We should get some news dribbling out in the next 4 weeks and Q4 should be a good quarter on the news fron as well. Hope that helps.

Hi

On a vertical well, e.g. Gentilly #1, these are drilled to the top of the deepest formation, in this case into the Potsdam. They begin testing the deepest zone first and move their way uphole. Based on an analysis of the drilling logs and any cores taken, each zone is perforated, stimulated with a frac and then allowed to clean up before being put on test production for 3-4 weeks. They then set a removable plug and test the next zone. Eventually the entire well is placed on production from all the perforated shale intervals to determine productivity.

For horizontal wells, these are drilled vertically and then ‘curved’ until the well path is horizontal or close to it in the target interval within the formation e.g. the most prospective interval in the Lorraine or the Utica. They set a plug in the cased horizontal section and perforate and frac a portion of the horizontal well (approx. 100-200 m). This is then repeated until the entire length is frac’d. The well is then allowed to clean-up and production tested.
