Good post. I realize my phrase "what does it matter" is a personal one just for my situation. I acknowledge that each and every investor has different parameters and factors affecting their individual investment decisions. I have gone against "conventional investment wisdom" as you refer to and thus am in QEC until it does a handsome ROE or goes bust. Certainly not advice for anyone else to follow - just is my situation. Thanks for your perspective. Optimistically I take the attitude that I will do well (along with all here) on QEC, secure my retirement future and then dabble in the market wisely following the conventional wisdom refered to. I have placed my casino bet and I still like my odds.
