Varying opinions by credible experts about the future of NG prices. However with the headline "short term" we can rest easy that we are in for the long term. The short term price doesn't concern us. I stated before that low NG prices for the next while, as they dampen exploration and production may help QEC. When it does start producing in 2010 there should be an excess of demand over supply.
"With demand down and prices tumbling, the rush to explore unconventional natural gas fields has all but ended, "
I think the word "suspended" would be more accurate than "ended". Exploration will of course resume with a gusto when the world pulls out of recession and oil and NG prices go back up.
Nothing ever stays the same.
