It actually is a very good number Life. The gentilly at 800mcf/d was exceptional. This is an early play, so it'll take some time to find that right zone to frac which will no question increase rates. Also, these are just small fracs compared to the ones that would be put in to place during production stage. Even if it only stayed at 500mcf/d, with a 8 stage frac put in (and proper clean up of the well lol), you can except to get 2 mmcf/d.
Even the forest wells initially got 4mmcf/d, but the clean up wasn't done properly...and this was on just a 4 stage frac, but they mentioned these were still small fracs that normal.
I have no doubt that results will be extremely good as time goes on. It's just best that they get all the technicals and engineering out of the way by mastering the drilling techniques for Quebec, and then once that's established, then they can go in a drill all over with confidence. Also remember that as time goes on, even after 10 years they'll still be learning more and more about improving the drilling, just as they are in the barnett.
This is just a time game...but the rewards tend to be extrordinary when things work out. IMO, we're off to a great start.
Have a good weekend guys!
