Qec is a high beta stock.... we've all witnessed this over the past year and this was observed again today when we got a bit of a pop in the market.We can expect this kind of thing over the next year or so IMHO until we have a commercial play and future earnings growth can be predicted.To expect anything more would be DIT. The true value of QEC shares is directly related to future earnings growth which we won't really know until the play is proven up. MB said they needed 20 wells before they know where the play is headed so until that time we can expect to test the highs and the lows that we've all seen. When we have a total of 20 wells drilled and tested, I would compare the sp against SWN ( Southwestern Energy) and my guess is that there won't be much of a difference if results are good. MB and his team should be able to predict future earnings growth at that time. Today, SWN's high was 46.03.
