View on the Ground - Horn River

Lest it be forgotten in the discussion over the Utica shale, QEC still has holdings in NE BC - the most recent acquisition being a lease in the Horn River shale patch.

News today from Horn River is that Encana has been given the environmental ok to proceed with construction of the Cabin Lake Gas plant [capacity= 800 million standard cubic feet per day - 1000 jobs]. This will be added to the available processing capacity of Spectra's Fort Nelson plant to send consumer-ready gas south. This field will be enormous and have an expected lifespan of 30-50 years, with significant exploration yet to be done.

Word on the street specific to QEC's holdings are about evenly split between "it's gonna be developed by the company in the next 3-5 years", and "Binion has no intention of going into production here...he's sitting on the lease while it appreciates then will deal it off for cash and/or a share of production..."

Either way, this is one more jewel in QEC's crown... Smart money's on QEC...and real estate in Fort Nelson...I've got some of both and I'm smilin'
