Hi Foghorn: There's no shortage of potential suitors out there but I hope we can keep them at arms length, at least for the time being. The recent share issue has given the company enough financial muscle to focus on its own activities for the moment without having to court the majors. I've presented my own 'dream scenario' before, and in my opinion it now actually seems achievable. My portfolio consists entirely of dividend paying stocks with QEC being the only exception. I still hope the company can grow in its own right, eventually becoming a significant gas producer within the North American/Canadian market place. I'm in no hurry - I would love to see my original investment paid back to me in the form of regular dividends rather than a windfall buy-out (though I wouldn't complain at that either LOL). QEC is without doubt an attractive target already and if given a little time to prove its true worth (May-June) will probably be irresistable, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for independence...
