TransAmerican Closes Property Acquisition in Quebec

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) - TransAmerican Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TAE)(FRANKFURT:YQJ) is pleased to announce, further to its News Release dated March 15, 2010, that it has completed its due diligence investigation and has now acquired a 100% interest in the 10 Utica shale oil and gas properties comprising 136,000 acres located in Quebec known as the Lacasse Property.
