While TransAmerica Energy doesn't specify exactly where the property is they do describe it as bordering the St Lawrence Gulf and River and they mention islands too in their news release. If they paid $2 per acre it would be because this area is well out of the lowlands fairway where QEC and others have their land. The geology just doesn't have much positive to say about these lands. This could simply be a "flyer" by this 14 cent TSX-Venture company to cash in on the association with the Quebec lowlands good news - but may be worthless land when it comes to oil or gas. Just a guess, but when they are not specific in their news release about exactly where the land is, it is a probable bet they don't want to make it easy for anyone to see it - they may just want the spin off benefit of being in the vicinity.
In my opinion, given the current "climate" I would stay away from highly speculative ones like this. There is still enough risk in QEC given everything lately and it is the best Junior bet there. JMHO
