I don't know if anyone saw the BAPE hearings last night....so I asked some SH posters to share as I don't speak french. Basically the companies and BAPE leaders did a heck of a job against all the enviornmentalists that came up there. They said that they didn't have much argument.
One of them said "where is the hurry in drilling (with applause from the audience)". The response was "in the past few years, Alberta has drilled 75,000 well, Quebec has drilled 7...what hurry do you see" loool. It'd be nice to have a transcript, but from what I hear from others, the arguments in favour are far more backed up with facts and they are strong. The panel and companies were able to answer all questions. The opposition didn't do a great job they say...and one poster mentioned something I've been thinking all along...he said they don't really care about listening or meeting half way but only thinking one sided.
Next hearing tonight...
Rocco :)
