because sad to say, but we on this board do better research on this company then them. I for one don't believe their nonsense and we'll be seeing them back in this stock once they've been able to snatch up what they can.

Yes, Rocco. I also read other places, that peoble who are not finance experts say: They have this big recource called the Utica and that it looks promissing.
Focus are now on LNG, the Eagle Ford play. We know it shifts back again. Terra Markets posted this, 10/28-2010:
Googled to english from norwayish:

Brokerage Terra Markets lowers recommendation on the oil and gas company Questerre to Hold from Buy, and halve while the corresponding share price target to 12 from 23 NOK.

Brokerage analyst at Vilis Eizentas points out that both downside and upside potential of the stock is limited from current levels.

- At current levels, we see limited downside in the stock. Firstly, the company has net cash of NOK 4.60 per share and no debt, writes analyst who also highlights the attractive area assessments for Questerre.

The next six months, however, limited upside highlights Eizentas. He points out that the next exploration wells Questerre not planned until the spring of 2011, and that there is a lack of exploration triggers the next six months.

- Besides, there is uncertainty around the new regulations for the shale gas industry in Canada, which is expected in spring 2011. Although the government has supported drilling as far as the market fears tighter regulation because of environmental issues, according to Terra analyst.

It is pointed out that factors that can lift the share price in Qusterre is a boost in gas prices and more market transactions for shale gas assets at attractive prices. The analyst believes that it is not likely with a boost in natural gas prices, since it is expecting a mild winter and that there is an over supply of natural gas.

About NG-price, the future went down more today after the inventory report.

Norway bank(DNM), who's selling qec together with Pareto(PAS), they are also buying much. And I dont know this time, though terra markets wrote sp 5NOK. It's like qec is much loved in norway, maybe DNM and PAS will hold it, but they could also just support each other. It may be one of thoose brookers that Mr. Binion have lended 2.5mill shares, but did you see how manny was traded when the sp fell 30%. It was about 8 to 15million or more I dont remember and this wollume also tells, that if your not inside when we go up, well then you miss some(maybe 1½-2cdn) . Likely this Sprott guy will:) Even more if he waits untill the pipeline is finished and wants the results from the new wells also.

Well, I wanted to post this:

Oil sands and shale gas, same fight:

Publié le 03 novembre 2010 à 05h00

(Quebec) As Alberta has done with the oil sands, Quebec must be prepared to exploit its gas deposits of shale, supports one of the top leaders of the Canadian petroleum industry. Advances in technology to extract this kind of fossil energy are guarantors of the protection of the environment, says Marcel R. Coutu.

Chairman of the Board of Syncrude, the largest mining Canadian oil sands, spoke yesterday morning with business people in Quebec. For him, the sands in Alberta, where oil is extracted, are nothing short of a "national treasure".

A "treasure" for the economy of Canada, insists the entrepreneur. Over the next 25 years, its industry will generate revenues of $ 68 billion per year while providing during this period 500 thousand jobs, "he said.

A "treasure" in terms of energy security, too. Half of three million barrels of oil per day produced domestically, from tar sands, says Marcel Coutu. These deposits shall ensure that Canada has the second world oil reserves, behind Saudi Arabia and ahead of Iran.

The economic benefits reach Quebec, "says Coutu. According to expert projections, 15 000 jobs per year in Quebec depend on even the operation of this type of hydrocarbon. In the Sun interview, he said that especially Quebec manufacturers of heavy machinery that are benefiting.

The CEO of Canadian Oil Sands, the publicly traded company (COS.UN) which owns 37% of Syncrude, has led to Quebec on the occasion of a national public relations campaign. He visited several areas to advocate for an industry that has a bad image. In a telephone interview, Mr. Coutu suggests that Canadians "should be proud of operation" of oil sands.

He said critics are mostly carried out by groups or "branches" located outside Canada, although organizations such as the Pembina Institute and environmentalist David Suzuki has denounced this as a polluting industry and responsible for issuing Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) emissions.

In Quebec itself, he feels no particular opposition. Mr. Coutu avoids comment on the remarks of Premier Jean Charest, who lashed out at the Copenhagen summit a year ago, low GHG reduction targets fixed by Ottawa, targets that would benefit Alberta.

Hydrocarbons

Quebec does not have oil sands. But new techniques have revealed an enormous potential for shale gas deposits. Both types of oil requires massive amounts of water for their operations. They also share to raise fierce public debate. "Quebec must do the same thing we do [in the Alberta industry]," says Coutu. "It's to communicate with the public to understand what technology is used, what are the economic benefits and economic wealth that can accompany it.

"Regarding the aspect of communications, you're lucky, Quebec, to do this early in the development of the industry. Us, it's been 30 years. [...] Each energy has its challenges. It's very important that governments establish regulations to minimize impacts on the environment. "

"We must develop a social contract with the people to support the industry," he pleads. "Things must be done carefully."

Is the US playing a big poker game on China? They print alot of money, dollar goes down(and china debt?) and gold goes up:)

Are we also better than the politicians in seeing that if the US developed theire NG recource, it could give average americans afordable energy and with this, more buying power/abillity to buy goods? (because I read a post on marketwatch, where a US guy was sorry about his dollar was loosing it's buying power, though he knows it could bring more jobs and trade. If they want they could and export NG and with the surplus of reducing CO2 and then over time the dollar would go up again?
