Yeah, besides the uncertainty that will cloud the investor-minds until we got some more meat on the bone when it comes to the actual SEA/industry-interaction, I think this could be one of the best things that could happen for the industry in Quebec.

The shortterm investor would probably disagree to that statement, but this new development is so much better then just another BAPE-like report. With the SEA, the industry would have to actually bring the commissaries with them to work. And the SEA won't just be scientists. Though even the activists sports someone boasting phd's, those experts that actually know what they are talking about, doesn't see the shalegas-industry as evil reincarnated. Its not the experts the industry need to convince, its the public. And unlike the BAPE committee, the SEA will also contain members of the public.

And I'm alot more confident in having a company like Questerre prove how safely the shalegasextraction can be done, then someone down at Marcellus, that might be tempted to cut a corner before his huge debt eats up his company.

The ties between the SEA and the industry, forced by mutual dependence to do their respective jobs, will create a whole other level of transparency, then just going through some reports in an office.
