Here is the news release from TNX. I doubt RHR will trade in single digits for too much longer! All the best, The Bluenote
Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corp. (TSE:TNX)(MKT:TRX) Monday reported its latest high grade assay results from the Buckreef gold project in north-central Tanzania.
The Buckreef project is located immediately south of Lake Victoria and 110 kilometres southwest of Mwanza. The property was acquired from the Tanzanian State Mining Co. known as Stamico back in December 2010. Tanzanian Royalty can earn a 55 per cent stake, while Stamico holding the rest.
Among the highlights from a current deep drill program include 35.54 grams per tonne (g/t) gold at 3.5 metres, 18.47 g/t gold at seven metres. This includes 14.47 g/t gold at four metres and 5.26 g/t gold at 17 metres.
Tanzania Royalty said the drill program was designed to suss out the potential for expanding the size of the mineral resource estimate.
"The results of the systematic drilling in the deep extension of Main zone and North zone demonstrate this zone continues to deliver interesting results at depth," the company said in a statement.
Drill hole BMDD170 returned 4.07 g/t gold at eight metres. This includes 7.91 g/t gold at three metres and 2.69 g/t gold at 6.9 metres.
Other notable results include drill hole BMDD171 which intersected 5.02 g/t gold at just one metre, and 1.36 g/t gold at 30 metres. It also found a second zone of four metres at 2.16 g/t gold from 339 metres.
Drill hole BMDD174 returned an interval of 42.1 metres grading 3.23 g/t gold. This includes 17 metres at 5.26 g/t gold from 376 metres.
"We are pleased with these higher grade assay results from core drilling at Buckreef," Tanzanian Royalty chief operating officer Joseph K. Kahama said in a release.
The gold at Buckreef is hosted in shear zones along a fine grained basaltic sequence and strongly altered felsic porphyry units.
"These results show our drilling has been successful and has provided the first opportunity to sample the deep mineralization at Buckreef."
