In pondering the drop in short interest it occured to me that the number may, (in a way) be zero in fact.

If there are 'in the know' smart money types accumulating, and using short selling to shake out nervous retail holders....If that's the case I would think they have accumulated far more than the 140 odd thousand they're short.

Of course if I'm right and this is happening, those accumulating...I highly doubt they want to reduce their long positions by 100+ thousand to cover off a short position.
