I posted my thoughts as follows:
RE:AZ's Briggs Morrison exits
Hi GV.
Very interesting departure by Briggs Morrison at AZ. Having read about the the expiring Crestor patents and the fact the Resverlogix has combined Crestor + rvx-208 patents in many countries including the USA I continue to believe that AZ must be watching RVX closely. Approval of the BETonMACE phase lll trial should heighten their interest.
There has been nothing but good news from RVX since July of 2013 and in fact theonly(very big) negative issue has been the ASSURE PAV regression at -0.04% (p=0.08) vs. target of -0.06%. The MACE reduction findings have been a gold mine. If only hind sight was foresight.
All of the post hocs continue to reveal new benefits of rvx-208 as they dig deeper into this drug.
We're going to hear a number of announcements in the near future and hopefully phase lll will be in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau as well as the USA and Europe.
I'm also hoping for more regional deals such as in Brazil and Argentina.
Anyway, I remain long and continue to accumulate slowly at these low prices. They say patience is a virtue but I do wish things could happen more quickly. Q3 starts in July and there are some milestones to be delivered.
The next 2 weeks will be extremely interesting.
Cheers to all.
