Perhaps I don't fully grasp the presentation. Obviously using an out-dated slide is not good and may indicate they are under some stress. I'm sure that the Hepalink deal is consuming a lot of effort.
It seems to me that there is merit in presenting the same information to new audiences because they continue to get the message out although a new post hoc discovery would have been welcome.
Being the optimist that I am regarding the approval of phase lll BETonMACE trial by the FDA based on the confidence expressed by various RVX team members (Dr Wong, Don and Dr Johansson) I was confident we would know about approval by now and I am willing to bet the RVX people are hard at it. With the obesity crisis and subsequent diabetes mellitus and CKD crisis in America the FDA should be willing to take a risk in the trial for rvx-208 BETonMACE.
However, given that Don stated that dosing will start in H2 I am thrilled for approvals in Europe and Asia. We must keep in mind that the world is much bigger than Canada and the USA and as the Asians become more westernized they will accelerate in desease of obesity and diabetes creating, sadly, huge markets for rvx-208.
The next 2 weeks will be interesting.
