Resverlogix....think of it as a theatrical production.....

In another life I used to tread the boards, nothing major...just community theatre around Toronto. I was around 30 and hadn't done a play in over 10 years when a neighbour, upon finding out I'd done some acting...she suggested auditioning with a production with a theatre group she belonged to. When I found out they were doing 'Cat On a Hot Tin Roof' I couldn't resist....I knew I was perfect for the role of Gooper. I wasn't old enough to play Big Daddy, nor was I good looking enough for Brick....but Gooper, that I knew I could do. I got the part of course, and after that did 3 more plays with the same group. The plays were put on in a big 500 seat theatre, complete with private boxes.....but we only did 4 shows.
Naturally there's a buzz of activity and excitement when they're casting the play, picking stage managers and the director, deciding on things like costumes and set design. I think it was probably like that with Resverlogix years back when many here first bought in.
Of course that early excitement wanes and then the real work begings, either with a play or a development stage company. In theatre there are months of rehearsals.....the buzz dies down.
For the plays we perfomed we moved into the theatre on the Sunday before the Wednesday opening night. I think that's the stage we're at now....between the Sunday and opening night. The stage is built, dressed and painted.....lots of work and lots of last minute decisions. The actors get the feel of the space and some adjustments have to be made...lighting and other cues are worked out.
I've got my ticket for the RVX show.....and I think we're going to have a big opening act.
