The one thing I think about with rvx-208 is that there has not been one setback since June of 2013 and before the end of ASSURE ALL of the progress for this drug has been positive.

The setback in June of 2013 was caused by the failure of rvx-208 to meet the primary end poing of PAV regression of 0.6%. PAV as an end point was chosen as the primary end point based on their scientific knowledge at the time of the trials design...probably back in 2011 and early 2012.

The progress since June 2013 has been remarkable.

1. Funding flowed in immediately after the market crash.
2. Funding has continued to flow in with recent Eastern and Hepalink investments.
3. The scientific progress and understanding of rvx-208's MOA has been very positive (keep in mind it could have been the opposite - they could have found they were on the wrong track)
4. Of great significance to me is the epigenetic effects. It seems the effects work naturally with the body unlike, say, drugs like bleomycyn or vinblastin which are designed to fight testicular cancers such as chorio & embryonal and have a highly toxic impact on the body. I know because I am a 40 year survivor.
5. In fact, rvx-208 is an anti-inflammatory hence has many other side benefits.
6. They know that rvx-208 has a high safety profile.
7. Discovery of MACE reduction of 55% and 77% has allowed them to set a new and very tangible end target - evidence that lives are saved in patients with DM, CVD and low HDL.
8. They have no competitors.

They may very well have an 8 year lead on epigenetics and related patents as Don often states. And the fact that Watson (or perhaps Crick) the discoverers of the structure of DNA (The Double Helix) stated that epigenetics offers huge potential for the future 10 years ago and RVX was listening and shifted in that direction sure is a good sign to me, particularly given their experimental evidence over the past 8 years.

Then I add to this that Don really does believe has has blockbuster drug and is not going to give it away cheap and I'm pretty comfortable on the payout.

These are just my perceptions which I have done from memory so DYODD.

I remain long and wish RVX was better at getting the message out but they are trying.

So now we need to hear about the first BETonMACE phase 3 dosing in both Europe and China.
