I would argue that, unfortunately this kind of manipulation is a necessary evil. Why? Simple really....if the playing field was truly level, then by and large there would be periods on no liquidity and periods of hyper liquidity....the result would be stocks would jerk up and down like a 10 year old on steroids playing with a yo-yo.
Is it fair? What in life is fair? Its just another example of the Golden Rule, those with the gold make the rules.
