Koo/DND,
How do you define commencement? At least one previous poster on this board or the other has been critical of what defines trial commencement. Being listed on ClinicalTrials.gov? Starting enrollment? Starting dosing? They are all important milestones.
Recall that Don said on 9/10 at Rodman and Renshaw that enrollment would begin in a "short few weeks" and on the Resverlogix Corporate Update webcast from 9/25 used the term "imminent" in relation to start of enrollment. IMO, the October 21st release of the Phase 3 BETonMACE trial details on ClinicalTrials.gov (according to Fouremm's info from yesterday's AGM) will coincide with the previously mentioned launch of enrollment. And this is quite timely with Resverlogix presenting at a BIO Investor Forum meeting in San Francisco on 10/20 or 10/21.
In my view, which I admit is not shared by all, start of enrollment is commencment. Others will disagree and demand dosing to begin. But you can't have dosing without enrollment and you can't have enrollment without launching/announcing the trial!
Best,
BDAZ
