Also it is not the absolute number of MACE events but the distribution of those events. Just knowing when there are 125 events tells us little - we won't know whether it is supportive or not until someone knows who is in each group and crunches the numbers . But onviously the decision to continue or not will tell us a great deal. And 125 events might take a while no? the event rate in the trial is expected at c12% from memory so 125 events represents 50% of total expected events. so we will need to wait until at least 6 months after the 1200th patient is recruited - so my best guestimate is early to mid 2017 no?
