Somehow I had the idea that a combo of Crestor/Apabetalone could be considered as something different and that patent life could be extended with this combo. i.e. Generic Rosuvastatin/Apabetalone combo would be deemed as a patent infringement. That would make AZ quite interested in Resverlogix. Perhaps that's not in the cards, at least until it is shown again in the PhaseIII trial that apabetalone works better with Crestor than with Lipitor.
