In their previous trials, they have not given a status on enrollment in between the first and the last patient, and the company has never indicated that this time would be any different, so no need to speculate about that. The closest we get to a hint to the enrollment is that DM mentioned in June (or so) that "hundreds" had been enrolled.
No, you are wrong, the futility analysis is not affected by the number of enrolled patients. The timing of the futility analysis is affected by enrollment, but the analysis and the timing of the analysis are two very different things.
