Public companies and the officers and directors who work for them have to be very careful in their choice of language, that's why we have Safe Harbour protection laws. If a company officer says "We will" that is vastly different from saying "We expect" or "We intend".

Perhaps some find my fixation on semantics nauseating, but to me it is vitally important.

The company issued a notice via SEDAR saying the AGM had been cancelled. But I, like others here, have received messages from the company indicating that the meeting has not in fact been cancelled but rather that it has been re-scheduled. There is an ocean of difference between the two.

If I have tickets to a concert and the show is canceled, then I'm not going to see the band. But if the concert has merely been rescheduled, then I may still be able to attend.

I don't want specific details, I don't even want to know the location....although that might be important if instead of Calgary the meeting is moved to China or something. All I want to know is if the meeting has been canceled or rescheduled...and if it has been rescheduled, what the date is.

Am I alone in seeing this as important?
