It got mixed reviews due to its depiction of the medical/scientific community....but it made the point that following mandated protocols unfortunately doesn't always serve the needs of those suffering in the here and now.  Lorenzo's parents are able to develop a treatment for their son, and other's suffering his same disorder, by going outside of the accepted procedural norms.

If Apabetalone is as effective as we all hope it is, then there are people it could be helping right now....included in MAC events is of course death.  Having patient advocacy groups aware of the benefits in trials as they happen, suffice to say public opinion counts.
