A house went up for sale in my neighborhood....nicer than my own.  Two car garage, rennovated kitchen with granite, new flooring etc etc....deeded access to a boat launch.  But it was out of my range, after not selling for 2 or 3 months the price was substantially reduced, by about $75K....So I talked to my agent and had her book an appt to go see it, that was this past weekend.

Then she told me on Monday that they were receiving offers that night....offers with an S, multiple offers in other words. "Ahhh well", was my reaction....I expected it to be sold.  I just got a message from her this morning saying the seller had rejected all the offers.  Apparently he was expecting to sell it at pretty much the original asking price.  The lowering of the ask was merely a ploy meant to generate interest.

I can put my house on the market for $600K, or $800K or a cool million.  I can even draw up a balance sheet and list it as an asset an assign a valuation of $1 million if I want.  But ultimately its worth what the market will bear.

What assets does Resverlogix have?  Apabetalone isn't worth that much.....the entire company as a whole is only worth a couple hundred million, that's reality.  In the future might it be worth more?  I think so, most of us think it will be worth substantially more.....why invest otherwise.  But in the here and now, the "material" reality is that the company is broke when it comes to that one commodity that makes the world go round, money.

As far as the house goes, I'm still going to go look at it.
