Message: This is probably unrealistic.....but

Just gonna toss this out there for discussion....it involves a "what if" situation:

Let's say DM has had an offer from BP, we'll say its Pfizer....for $1.5 billion USD for Apabetalone, that's about $2 billion CDN give or take.  Leaving aside the Eastern and Hepa stakes....and whether they could block it.  Let's just say DM thinks that is way to low.  He thinks Apabetalone could ultimately be a $50 billion USD drug, and he's unwilling to "let it go" at what he considers to be a ridicously low price.

But the company is in a cash crunch.....and the share price is languishing in and around the $2 mark which would make a secondary very dilutive to current shareholders, including DM himself.

So why not get word out that there's a BP company offering $2 billion CDN for Apabetalone?  I would have to think the market reaction would be positive, and while maybe the PPS wouldn't get up around $15 to $20.....I'd be shocked stunned and in need of medication if such an annoucement didn't at least get the PPS up to $5...if not somewhere around $10.

Assuming this scenario (pulled outta my nether regions) were to happen, now the company could do a secondary at a more reasonable and therefore less dilutive price.

I know its possible, in fact highly probable imo...that were such a situation to take place, that there'd be near iron clad ND agreements attached.....but word sometimes leaks out, ya never know.  I'm convinced stuff gets leaked all the time, the SEC is constantly investigating things but still market watchers complain that the enforcement division of the SEC is grossly understaffed.  And so often when an individual is charged the case is settled, the charged indvidual pays a fine with zero admission of guilt....typically with a funny little rider at the end that states the charged individual agrees not to engage in this type of activity again, even though he never admitted to engaging in it in the first place.

Random musing program, full stop.
