Message: Is the company trying to exasperate retail investors?

I'm not gonna be around during the trading tomorrow....#1 son is graduating from HS and will be heading off to University on a scholarship in Sept, so I'm off to the grad ceremony and then a luncheon to celebrate.  Do I sound proud?  I am...extremely, he's an incredible young man.

Anyway I was trying to find that old Richmond Club presentation from April of 2015, but came up dry.  I did however find another presentation that DM did there in March of 2016.  I don't recall having seen it before, but it was probably discussed....it included a check list slide of milestones the company expected to achieve in 2016 and it got me to thinking.

It seems to me like Resverlogix is almost like a person who wants to end a relationship....but they don't want to be the one asking for a break up.  I think its not uncommon for somone to pursue an individual, wanting a relationship.  Speaking as a heterosexual male I know I have sought relationships out of a desire for some carnal pleasure....however once that has been established, I've wanted out.

But of course dumping someone after sleeping with them....its a bit of a rogue move (I'd use another word but its not allowed here)....far better to have them do the breaking up by doing some things to annoy them.  You know, show up late or not at all to planned meet ups....act like a jerk, there's all kind of ways.

In 2016 Resverlogix had a long laundry list of things they said they were going to accomplish that year....Here's the presentation, its slide # 27 at the 14:58 mark of this video.

http://www.richmondclub.com/2016/03/resverlogix-modulates-protein-production-with-epigenetic-platform-technology-that/

The checklist has these items....

- Confirm a second clinical compound - RVX ?

- Announce a second liscensing/partnership deal

- Four manuscripts published

- Addition of 3 analyst coverage programs

- Phase 2/3 Orphan indication launch PNH and/or Dialysis

- ESC symposium Aug 2016

- Completion of FDA required animal work

Quite a laundry list.  But how many did they fail to tick off.....Do we have a second compound?  2016 is over and 2017 is half over.  Second licensing/partnerhsip.....nope.  Four manuscipts?  I dunno....BDZ?  3 new analyst coverage programs to be added...I still see the same ones that we had before like Zacks and Van Lewuwenwhatever.

Then this year of course they didn't show up to Paris without notification until after the fact, and then there was no reason given as to why.  And then the recent slide show presentation with multiple typeos...if you believe that story....and the replacement of said PPP.

To me it almost seems like a concerted effort to tick off long suffering investors.....while at the same time  doing the right thing vis a vis fiduciary responsiblity.  Being a public company is a pain I'm sure, all the paperwork and cost....but when you need cash you need cash and sometimes the public markets are the best place to go, especially for a young company like RVX was when it was getting talked up and was trading for $20+ back 10 or so years back.

Now?  Maybe they don't need retail investors.....imo they sure don't act like they do.  Of course having a contrarian bent, that warms the proverbial cockles of my heart.  And lest anyone be concerned that the warming of cockles is in some way a violation of the TOS here, relax....here's the definition:

What are the "cockles of your heart" and why do they need warming?

One of the meanings of "cockle" is the chamber of a kiln: in reference to the heart, it refers to the chambers, of which there are four (two atria and two ventricles). The heart has always been associated with emotions, especially love, excitement and fear, probably because when we feel a strong emotion we feel our heart thumping and beating faster. So when something "warms the cockles of our heart", it is a reference to something pleasant that makes our heart beat faster and makes us feel good. It is probably also the origin of the saying that something gives us that "warm and fuzzy feeling".
