Led, Nope didn't miss your point at all, was just adding how I felt about the effects of mediocre management. I was around in those early years and was not impressed with management then either. As a matter of fact I was at a small meeting of potential investors many many years ago and left that meeting wondering how a pair of smart successful science guys like Norman Wong and Jan Johannson got hooked up with the business group as it seemed like the business side did not have much depth especially wrt biotech.  It took me a long time to wrap my head around that but the potential was and still is there in a big way imo.  Once I did invest I was always looking for my exit which became very obvious when preclinical RVX got into the billion dollar MC neighbourhood but I digress....

To your point though I have never thought quite as far along that path as you are perhaps suggesting but at the same time I would not say you are wrong. My take has always been that Eastern probably is Ok with mediocre management because they benefit from low share price when providing additional financial support to the company and they are well protected on the downside. I think they also have a very long view of things. To me, despite the business gaffs, it has always been a positive wrt the science that RVX has all along been able to attract knowledgeable investors with very deep pockets who are in for the long haul. 

Even though I think that Don and the business management side work very hard and lately they have put together a great package of information to support the business case, I still don't think they are in the same league as their science counterparts in the company. To me there are way too many important misses on that list as well as other detail items along the way.  Easy for me to say and frankly I hope that the day comes along which will prove the business side has been working on a brilliant master plan and I have been sitting here on the sidelines with my head where the sun don't shine!!!  At that point I will be just as happy as everyone else and more than happy to say I was wrong.
