As of the last update there were still over 200K shares short....if there's covering taking place it wouldn't make sense to buy the warrants, not unless the price gets to $2.05+

I have a dream little scenario in my mind....and I'm thinking its not just one player short, but not more than 3 or maybe 4 in total....and in my hypothetical scenario its one of those 'professional courtesy' arrangements....but then if things get close, well all is fair in love and war....hench the "did someone finally blink" remark....

Its probably unrealistic, but in my little scenario...eventually things get close and it becomes every man for himself.  I notice that one of the brokerage I use was busy going into the closing bell....BMO is good at getting quick fills, and I sometimes wonder whether they go short themselves to avoid garnering a reputation as a non-performer....probably pushing it a bit, but without anything tangible to go on all we have is speculation....and while most like to speculate on the fundamentals and the science, I'm more technical in nature and I like to speculate on the trading.
