Thanks to all you posters for your digging and detective work. I'm trying to remain optimistic but I am extremely frustrated and I am sure I am not the only one.
Don seems to be in a complete state of disarray.
He's out there giving presentations and not explaining the variances from one presentation to the next (and so BDAZ digs deep and points out the variances. Thanks bear.). These variances then have all of us scratching our heads. If the BoM trial delay to 2019 is not due to USA participants then it raises a question about who is managing the performance of the company that is managing the trial? It would be very helpful if Don simply explained the extended time required.
What is Don doing presenting at biotech investor and science conferences at this stage? This suggests to me that he is still fishing for suitors. He should be appointing his business and science people to do these conferences. His focus should be 24/7 on getting the RVX house in order and dealing with the LOI.
The delay in the FA is a big red flag to me. I don't know what the reviewing committee knows at this stage and how they made the delay decision. If they know enough information to realize that results are not strong enough with a 125 sample then building to 175 will yield more statistical power i.e. the same difference between test and control groups may not be statistically significant at n=125 could be significant at n=175. Anyway, I understand it is far more complex than this and this compounds the doubt created when we are left in the dark from an information POV.
The Hepa $87 million, if approved, solves a huge problem and the $8 million FROR from Hepa buys some more time to keep BoM moving forward for a couple of months and hopefully provides the time needed for a successful FA.
Hepa's investments also suggest they are not worried about a new partner coming in (assuming it is not them) and owning 43% of RVX Hepa will have huge control on the approval of whoever, if anybody, comes in to finance the balance of BoM and other trials.
I'm writing this post just to vent my frustration. Bottom line is that Don has got to get his act together soon. He is far too sloppy in his actions.
