Also.....way back during the launch of BETonMACE we were told that there would be a BETonMACE Sample Size Estimate Analysis at 175 events, at which time they may revise the target # of MACE events from 250 events to 375 events. Considering that we may have already exceeded 125 events (50% of 250 events) and may not get the futility analysis until 187.5 events (75% of 250 events)......it is possible that they may trigger the sample size estimate analysis prior to announcing the futility analysis. Could an increase in the target number of events be another explanation for the mid-2019 end of BETonMACE estimate?
